FyneAudio is introducing the SuperTrax super tweeter to its Vintage Series lineup. According to the manufacturer's assurances, it can be used with a very wide range of loudspeakers due to its adjustable efficiency.
A new 1-inch dome made from the unique lightweight and rigid Thin Ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD) material is used to achieve a very wide bandwidth of reproduced frequencies ( up to 60kHz ). The expansion of the reproduced bandwidth enriches music with increased color and tonal accuracy, more precise and clearer transient rendition, and a sense of space, while organizing the reproduction of even the lowest frequencies.
The SuperTrax 's sublime design allows it to generate energy at a 360-degree angle, which allows it to surround the user with a zone of free and coherent sound. The diffuser used in the SuperTrax is able to transform the acoustic wave generated by the flat-topped tweeter dome into a spherical wave emitted in all directions. In addition, omni-directional reproduction of the highest tones is the possibility of a freer choice of listening location.
